Toledo's Walk-On LB with Gritty Tackling Flair
Jayden Baker, a linebacker for the Toledo Rockets, earned his stripes as a walk-on, appearing in one game during the 2023 season where he notched two tackles against Texas Southern—showing the hustle and football IQ that defines reliable depth players. Hailing from Massillon, OH, his high school pedigree and blue-collar intensity make him a coach's dream for special teams and situational downs, though limited snaps highlight his developmental status. Ideal for teams seeking tough, low-ego backups who elevate practice reps without the prima donna vibe.
