Rising Forward for Southern Jaguars with Freshman All-Region Honors
Sam Mack, a 6'4" forward for the Southern University Jaguars, earned Honorable Mention All-Region IX Freshman status after averaging 12.7 points and 7.1 rebounds in his 2018-19 season at GE. Though his 2019-20 stats dipped to 1.8 PPG and 0.8 RPG, his intensity, defensive versatility, and leadership remain standout differentiators. Mack’s Chicago roots and family basketball legacy fuel his relentless drive. He’s a high-fit prospect for teams needing a gritty, adaptable forward with room to grow—especially if backed by development coaching. No major injury history reported; his personality shines as coachable and God-centered.
