veteran Delta Devils DB with size and experience on his side
Alvin McClerkin is a Mississippi Valley State defensive back who has the kind of frame and experience that can quietly matter in the secondary, listed at 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds when he signed with MVSU[2]. He was originally a productive junior-college defender, posting 96 total tackles, 3 interceptions and 3 sacks before arriving at Valley[2]. That profile suggests a physical, versatile coverage piece who can help against bigger receivers and in run support. Publicly available current-season stat detail is limited, so the main appeal here is proven toughness and role-player value rather than headline-grabbing production[6][11].
