Coastal Carolina's Defensive Anchor and Pioneer All-Big South Linebacker
Simpkins was one of Coastal Carolina's first-ever First-team All-Big South selections, establishing himself as a defensive cornerstone for the Chanticleers. The 6'0", 236-lb linebacker earned 3× All-Big South honors and demonstrated elite instincts with ball-hawking ability (4 interceptions in 2007 alone). His transition from Catawba to CCU showcased adaptability and coachability under head coach David Bennett. Known for high-motor play and tackle production, Simpkins projects as a reliable, productive linebacker prospect with proven college success and NFL experience.
