Kobe Minchey brings power-arm upside and pro experience to Tarleton State
Minchey is a right-handed pitcher with a real pro-caliber arm, featuring a fastball that has sat around 93.8 mph and touched 96.7 mph, plus a splitter, curveball, cutter, and changeup that give him multiple ways to attack hitters.[9] The upside is clear, but the results have been uneven: in 2023 at Texas he logged 13 strikeouts in 12.0 innings with a 5.25 ERA, and his 2024 sample at Dallas Baptist was extremely small.[1][4] He fits a staff that wants strikeout potential and pitch mix versatility, though command and consistency are the big questions.[1][4][9]
