Experienced North Texas CB with ball skills and starting experience
John Davis brings proven game experience to North Texas, having appeared in 12 games with six starts in the 2023 season while posting 15 tackles, 3 pass breakups, and 1 interception. His best differentiators are his instincts in coverage and ability to create plays on the ball, which makes him more than just a steady perimeter defender. The key concern is availability: Draft Scout noted he missed time after an undisclosed injury in North Texas’s season-opening win over UTEP, so his fit depends on whether he returns fully healthy and can recapture that disruptive, competitive edge.
