Virginia Tech DB now in a non-playing role
Nyke Johnson is no longer listed on Virginia Tech’s roster and, as of March 2024, was reported to be pursuing a non-playing role, so he is not currently a fit as an on-field transfer or depth add for a team looking for immediate DB production[1][3]. Before that change, he was viewed as a reserve defensive back with potential roster value, but the key differentiator here is off-field continuity and familiarity rather than recent game-impact stats, which are limited and not currently showing an active playing role[1][5].
