Cierra Winters brings defense-first edge and big-game toughness for Air Force
Cierra Winters is the kind of guard coaches love: physical, disruptive, and dependable when the game gets messy. In the 2020-21 season, she played in 25 games with 12 starts, averaged 4.0 points and 2.2 rebounds, and finished third on the team with 1.3 steals per game while posting one of Air Force’s better assist-to-turnover ratios.[1] Earlier, in the 2019-20 season, she led the team with a .405 field-goal percentage and again flashed her knack for making winning plays on defense.[3] She also earned Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year recognition and later stood out in military competition with five steals in a 2026 Armed Forces win, which says plenty about her intensity and fit for a defense-minded team.[9][15]
