Tall, Tackling DB from UTPB with Untapped Potential
Nygel King, a 6-1, 175-pound cornerback from Spring, TX, showcased solid run support in Spring 2021 at University of Texas Permian Basin, tallying 16 tackles over five games including a four-tackle, PBU effort vs. Lincoln—highlighting his physicality and ball skills against smaller-school competition. No confirmed Utah Utes connection or recent D1 stats found, suggesting he's a developmental gem with length and tackling intensity ideal for zone schemes; perfect fit for teams needing versatile DB depth, but verify current status as data trails off post-2021.
