Kareem Hector brings speed, toughness, and upside to Stony Brook’s secondary
Kareem Hector enters the 2026 season as a compact, aggressive cornerback for Stony Brook, listed at 5-foot-10 and 165 pounds and now a sophomore after appearing as a freshman in 2025. His appeal is less about gaudy stat totals and more about versatility and competitiveness: Stony Brook recruited him out of Union City, where he earned first-team all-conference honors, posted 32 tackles and four total touchdowns as a senior, and was known for impact plays on both sides of the ball. If a team wants a scrappy cover man with return-game juice and clear developmental upside, he’s worth a look.
