Scott Gernander brings winning pedigree and backcourt IQ to Sam Houston
Gernander is a veteran guard in Sam Houston’s basketball pipeline whose value is more about proven competitiveness and leadership than flashy box-score volume. Available sources tie him to a strong winning background as a coach and player, including a 17.8-points-per-game senior season and long-term success around the game, which suggests a player with discipline, toughness, and an understanding of what it takes to sustain performance. If you need a guard who can fit into a structured, culture-driven program and add maturity, he looks like a strong fit.
