Austin Martins brings disruptive lower-body power and splash-play juice to Valpo’s front
Austin Martins has been a proven impact piece for Valparaiso, with a signature 2021 season that earned All-PFL Honorable Mention and the team’s Defensive Player of the Year after 50 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, three fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles, a blocked kick and a pass breakup. That production says he’s not just eating blocks — he’s creating chaos. The differentiator is his playmaking burst and knack for clutch backfield disruption, which can fit a defense looking for an energetic, high-motor DL who flashes splash plays and special-teams value.
