Arturo Gyles gives Lehigh a veteran, disruptive edge up front
Arturo Gyles is a seasoned Lehigh defensive lineman who brings size, experience, and sneaky production to the middle of the defense. In 2014, he started all 11 games at nose guard, totaled 20 tackles, and added a sack plus a blocked field goal, while his career line at Lehigh reached 44 tackles, 3.5 tackles-for-loss, and 2.0 sacks. What makes him more than a stat sheet guy is the combo of reliability, special-teams impact, and high-effort toughness—plus he earned Lehigh’s best defensive lineman award. That’s the kind of player coaches trust when they want a sturdy, physical interior presence.
