veteran UNLV forward with proven rebounding and shot-blocking pedigree
Essengue is a seasoned 6-foot-8 forward whose calling cards are interior defense, rebounds, and reliable scoring for his role, with UNLV career marks of 5.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game across 65 games. He stands out as a high-effort, physical frontcourt presence who helped anchor a 30-win, Sweet 16 UNLV team in 2006-07 and later carried professional and national-team experience, which signals maturity, toughness, and a low-maintenance fit for teams needing defensive reliability.
