James Green brings veteran instincts, playmaking juice, and rare durability-bounce-back grit to TSU’s linebacker room
James Green is the kind of linebacker coaches trust because he has seen everything, survived the bumps, and still shows up with pop. In 2023, he started all 11 games and posted 55 tackles, 1 TFL, 3 QB hurries, and a pass breakup, plus a signature 92-yard blocked-field-goal return TD that earned Big South-OVC Defensive Player of the Week honors. He also fought through major injuries earlier in his TSU career, which makes his resilience a real separator. If you want a tough, experienced, high-motor defender with special-teams value and leadership baked in, he’s your guy.
