Carlton Weatherford brings old-school fullback toughness to Virginia Tech
Weatherford is a compact, physical **fullback** at **5'10", 230 lbs.** who saw action in every game for Virginia Tech and even scored a touchdown reception against Northeastern, which speaks to his reliability and versatility rather than headline-grabbing volume stats.[2][4] His game is about leverage, toughness, and doing the dirty work that creates space for others—exactly the kind of role player coaches trust when they want a dependable, assignment-sound tone-setter.[2] For a team looking for a hard-nosed, low-flash fit with proven willingness to contribute wherever needed, he is the right kind of throwback piece.[2][4]
