High-Intensity DT with 42-Tackle Freshman Season and Fumble-Recovery Clutch Factor
Will McCabe, a 6-3, 290-pound defensive tackle for Western Michigan, delivered a standout 2019 freshman season with 42 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and a fumble recovery, showcasing elite intensity and clutch play beyond raw stats. His season-high seven tackles against Toledo and consistent 5+ tackle games reveal relentless pursuit and personality-driven grit, not just physical strength. No injury history is reported, and his intensity level is described as 'high' by coaches. McCabe’s differentiator is his ability to disrupt offenses through timing and tenacity, making him a strong fit for teams needing a high-energy, reliable DT who elevates in critical moments.
