MEAC Top-3 Pass Defender with Elite Intensity and 40-Tackle Season
DeShaun Summers, Morgan State Bears DB (5-9, 175), is a high-intensity defensive standout who ranked 3rd in the MEAC in passes defended (11) and 8th in interceptions (3) during his peak season, while finishing with 40 total tackles (30 solo). His differentiators include relentless coverage intensity, a personality that elevates team morale, and a proven ability to read quarterbacks—traits not captured in raw stats. Though no recent injury history is reported, his consistent tackle production (27 tackles in a prior season) signals durability and football IQ.
