experienced lefty QB with proven Patriot League flashes
Northrup’s best selling point is experience: in the 2021 season, he opened with a 9-for-14, 141-yard, 1-TD outing against Colgate and finished Lafayette’s shortened spring as a steady, efficient starter before later continuing his career at William & Mary. His 2021 Lafayette line—602 passing yards, 4 TDs, 3 INTs—shows a quarterback who can operate within structure and create chunk plays without needing a gimmick offense. The bonus? He’s a veteran, former multi-year starter, and a training/quarterback-development guy now, which usually signals command, polish, and a strong football IQ.
