Josh Aune brings veteran depth and special-teams toughness to Minnesota’s linebacker room
Josh Aune’s calling card at Minnesota was reliability: in the 2022 season, he played in 13 games, earned most of his reps on special teams, and recorded three tackles with one tackle for loss. That profile makes him more of a glue guy than a headline stat producer, but that is exactly why he matters—he adds seasoned, physical depth, understands his role, and can help a defense and special teams unit stay stable. If you want an experienced, assignment-sound linebacker who has already shown he can contribute in multiple game situations, Aune is a sensible fit.
