Rayne Mayo Jr. is a 320-pound anchor in UC Davis’ defensive front
In the 2025 season, Rayne Mayo Jr. started all 13 games at nose tackle for UC Davis, finishing with 29 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and a blocked kick, then entered 2026 as a preseason All-Big Sky Third Team selection. He’s a space-eater with real value: 6'2", 320 pounds, stout against the run, durable, and trusted enough to stay on the field every week. The fit is obvious for a team needing interior leverage, gap control, and a player who can quietly wreck blocking schemes without needing the spotlight.
