Charlie Lardi brings strikeout upside to Southern Illinois
Lardi profiles as a **strikeout-heavy lefty** who has already shown dominance in college ball, including a 2025 Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Year season and a combined no-hitter with 13 strikeouts in 7 2/3 innings against Knox. His calling card is swing-and-miss stuff and the ability to control innings when he’s on, though his **2026 Southern Illinois sample is very small** and currently rough, so the fit is more about upside than certainty. If you want a pitcher with proven bat-missing traits and real ceiling, he’s worth attention.
