Wake Forest DB with Special Teams Grit and Family Legacy
Christian Masterson is a redshirt sophomore defensive back at Wake Forest who differentiates himself through high-intensity special teams play and a deep football pedigree as the younger brother of All-ACC linebacker Luke Masterson. Though his on-field stats are modest (3 solo tackles over three seasons, with action limited to four games in 2022 and one in 2023), he earned Special Teams Player of the Day honors, signaling elite effort and reliability in critical moments. His 5-11, 185lb frame offers speed and agility for coverage roles, and his work ethic—highlighted by team social media praise—makes him a culture-fit asset for teams valuing intensity and coachability over raw volume stats. Ideal for a roster needing a dependable, hard-nosed depth DB with special teams upside.
