Tennessee State's Workhorse LHP with Elite Stamina and OVC Pitcher-of-the-Week Honors
Tianna Salcido, the 5'5" left-handed pitcher for Tennessee State, is a data-driven workhorse who logged a team-high 82.1 innings across 28 appearances in the 2026 season, earning OVC Pitcher of the Week despite a challenging 0-10 win-loss record and 8.57 ERA. Her differentiator is unmatched stamina and intensity; she consistently starts in the circle with a fierce, battle-ready personality that builds early momentum, as seen in her team's 6-3 victory over Morehead State. While her stats reflect a tough season, her 28 strikeouts and high innings volume prove she is a reliable fit for teams needing a durable, high-intensity pitcher who can handle heavy loads and lead with grit, not just wins.
