Callen Smith brings proven tackling volume and disruptive plays to McNeese’s linebacker room
Callen Smith is a productive McNeese linebacker whose value starts with reliable tackling production and flashes of playmaking, including a school-record 95-yard fumble return for a touchdown and a senior season with 105 tackles, a sack, and five tackles for loss. That profile suggests a defender who can finish plays, stay around the ball, and create momentum-changing moments rather than just rack up quiet stops. His listed athletic traits also point to above-average burst for the position, making him a fit for a defense that wants active pursuit and impact in space.
