Charles Cox III brings proven ball production and versatility to San Jose State
Charles Cox III profiles as a high-upside defensive back who has already shown playmaking ability and steady production: in 2024 at Diablo Valley College, he posted 37 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, a sack, a forced fumble and an interception, then followed with 14 tackles and two interceptions in five games for San Jose State in 2026[1]. The differentiator is his impact at multiple levels of the field—he can trigger downhill, finish tackles, and create turnovers—while also carrying a strong academic profile as a Dean’s List student[1].
