the Bulldogs’ steady, high-IQ backcourt engine
Matt Dickey’s profile at UNC Asheville was built on production and poise: in the 2011-12 season, he led the Bulldogs with a 16.1 scoring average, shot .867 from the line, and added 124 assists, 50 steals, and 62 threes while earning Big South Player of the Year and AP Honorable Mention All-America honors. He’s the kind of guard who impacts winning in multiple ways—clutch free throws, late-game shot-making, ball pressure, and leadership—making him a strong fit for teams that value toughness, efficiency, and a calm closer.
