Low-usage McNeese guard who brings effort, defense, and rotational depth
Fields has been a modest-scoring guard for McNeese, posting 2.5 points, 0.4 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game on 50.0% shooting in the current ESPN player profile, which points to a low-usage role rather than a featured creator.[6] His value is more about fit than flash: McNeese’s roster bio lists him as a guard with a Baton Rouge background and previous all-district pedigree at St. Michael, while his 2024 season line shows 8 steals in 26 games and steady minutes, suggesting activity and defensive competitiveness.[4][2] He looks like a bench piece for teams needing energy, discipline, and guard depth rather than high-end shot creation.[2][4][6]
