Sam Kuhter gave UNI a field-position weapon in the 2015 season
In the 2015 season, Sam Kuhter was UNI’s primary punter and delivered elite field-position value, averaging 42.7 yards per punt with a season-long 68-yarder and a UNI single-game record 52.4-yard average against South Dakota. He also landed 26 punts inside the 20 and was named second-team All-MVFC, which tells you the leg was strong and the placement was even better. The big draw here is reliability under pressure: he wasn’t just booming punts, he was flipping the field and helping UNI control tempo.
