A tough, high-volume UNC QB with real production and serious grit
In the 2019 season, Jacob Knipp was the definition of a battle-tested Northern Colorado quarterback: a team captain and All-Big Sky honorable mention who threw for 2,852 yards while completing 61.0% of his passes, and by the end of his UNC career he ranked among the program’s all-time leaders in passing yards and touchdowns. What makes him more than a stat line is the toughness — he played through repeated injuries, brought a linebacker’s mentality to the huddle, and had the size, arm strength, and competitiveness teams covet in a gritty field general.
