Josh Wilson brings Baylor a proven, assignment-sound safety with special-teams value
Wilson profiles as a reliable, physical defensive back who can help Baylor in the box, on special teams, and in nickel/dime looks; in his Baylor career he earned snaps as a safety and special-teams regular, including a career-high 11 tackles and a pass breakup in a start at West Virginia. His value is less about flashy stats and more about trust, versatility, and doing the dirty work well—traits that often matter most for depth, coverage integrity, and fourth-phase impact.
