Norfolk State’s QB room has a new face, but Mark Jefferson is still part of the conversation
Mark Jefferson’s current profile at Norfolk State is less about proven 2026 production and more about upside and role fit: recent coverage shows he is not the Spartans’ announced starter, with Deljay Bailey taking QB1 duties for the 2026 season[1]. The clearest on-field context available is that Jefferson appears on Norfolk State’s roster as a 6-foot-2, 205-pound redshirt sophomore, which points to a developmental quarterback with size and room to grow[2]. If you’re looking for a polished, game-ready starter right now, he is not the obvious answer; if you want a quarterback with untapped physical tools and developmental runway, he remains worth monitoring[1][2].
