Moe Shida brings veteran poise, playmaking, and winning pedigree to New Mexico State
Moe Shida is a guard who stands out for her playmaking feel, steady decision-making, and high basketball IQ; in a 2025 profile, she posted a career-high 7 assists in a 25-minute outing, a nice little neon sign for how she can control tempo and create for teammates. She also has strong credibility in the room: New Mexico State’s staff has noted her as a former All-American, and her path from Japan to NCAA Division I suggests resilience, maturity, and a team-first mindset. If a roster needs a composed connector rather than a ball-dominant scorer, she’s a smart fit.
