reliable SDSU kicker with proven big-leg range
Chase Vinatieri has been a steady, high-volume kicker for South Dakota State, with career production that includes 47 field goals and 374 points, and his 2017 breakout showed real range by going 12-for-13 on field goals, including seven makes from beyond 40 yards and a 55-yarder. He stands out for composure and consistency in pressure spots, plus the pedigree and reputation of a kicker who has followed a demanding, detail-heavy path rather than relying on raw athletic flash. He fits a team that values dependable special teams execution and long-distance upside.[2][3][8]
