Versatile Hawaii DB with USC Pedigree and Special Teams Spark
Kaulana Makaula, a 6-3, 220-lb junior DB for the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors, flashed in 2022 with 21 tackles (season-high 7 vs. Duquesne), a forced fumble at Michigan, a pass breakup, a blocked punt, and a 17-yard punt return across 12 games including 2 starts—after transferring from USC where he spent three seasons developing. Strengths include elite run support, ball skills without grabbing (per 247Sports), and special teams intensity; high school DB MVPs highlight his athleticism. A gritty, physical island defender who's a perfect fit for teams needing versatile depth and big-play energy.
