Halen Guerrero brings swing-and-miss upside and late-game poise to UC Riverside’s bullpen
In the 2026 season, Halen Jaden Guerrero showed real utility for UC Riverside as a right-handed pitcher, including a 3.2-inning relief outing with 2 strikeouts and no earned runs in a win over Long Beach State, plus a strong Highlander debut that featured a scoreless first inning and his first strikeout. He transferred from Santa Barbara City College after posting a 1-0 record with a 2.86 ERA in 2025 and a 4-2 record with 3 saves and a 3.27 ERA in 2024, suggesting a steady, competitive arm with leverage-inning experience. He looks like a fit if you want a resilient strike-thrower who can handle pressure without blinking.
