High Point Panthers' Historic Scoring Guard from Y2K Era
Derek Van Weerdhuizen etched his name in High Point University lore as the all-time leader in 3-pointers made with 140 from 1998-2001, showcasing elite sharpshooting and clutch play that powered the Panthers' early 2000s squads—think consistent double-digit scoring like his 14-point outings in key games.
