Emerging DE with Proven High School Pedigree, Limited College Spotlight
Cam Mattox, a defensive end linked to Northern Illinois Huskies, built his foundation at Hillcrest HS under coach Morgan Weaver, powering a dominant 12-1 record and IHSA Class 5A state semifinals run in his senior year—showcasing the relentless intensity and team-first mentality that defines disruptive edge rushers. While college stats remain sparse amid a crowded DE depth chart, his high school tape highlights explosive first-step quickness and physicality ideal for hybrid fronts; no major injury flags, making him a high-upside developmental fit for teams seeking raw pass-rush traits over polished production.
