Mooney enters the 2025-26 season as a redshirt sophomore guard whose college production has been limited so far, but his high school résumé was built on real shot-making, rebounding, and playmaking—he was William Tennent’s all-time leading scorer with 1,431 points and averaged 23.5 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 3.5 assists as a senior.[2][6] At Richmond, he has appeared in only a handful of games and has yet to post major minutes, so the upside case is more about his offensive feel and competitive background than current box-score impact.[1][2][8] He looks like a fit for a program that values smart, versatile guards who can score without needing the ball every possession.[6][11]
