Byron Hightower brings size and veteran presence to Missouri State’s linebacker room
Byron Hightower is listed on Missouri State’s 2026 roster as a **6-0, 223-pound senior linebacker**, giving the Bears a compact, sturdy defender with experience and a downhill frame built for run support.[1][5] Missouri State’s roster page shows he has already contributed in game action and spring work, including 13 tackles in eight games at one point and five tackles in the Maroon and White Game, which suggests a player coaches can trust for physical, assignment-sound snaps rather than flash-only production.[5] If you need a linebacker who looks more like a dependable processor and tackler than a highlight machine, Hightower fits that profile.[1][5]
