C.J. Maybin brings rare length and upside to ECU’s linebacker room
At **6-foot-4, 220 pounds**, C.J. Maybin gives East Carolina a long, rangy linebacker profile that can create matchup problems in space, and as a freshman he arrived as a **No. 97 overall recruit** with clear developmental upside.[3] He did not record defensive statistics in the listed ECU roster bio, so the appeal is more about projection than production right now, but that also means he could be a strong fit for a team looking for a toolsy defender who can grow into a bigger role if his processing and play strength keep developing.[3][6]
