Zach Barrett is a rising Illinois mauler with lineman size and local upside
In the 2025 season, Illinois offensive lineman Zach Barrett was listed at 6-3 and 295 pounds, and he enters 2026 as a younger in-state blocker with room to grow into a bigger role for the Fighting Illini[7][15]. His appeal is the classic trench profile: compact power, hometown familiarity, and developmental upside rather than flashy stat-sheet noise. If you want an OL who can add depth and eventually become a dependable run-game piece, Barrett is a sensible fit; if you need an immediate high-end pass-protection anchor, the evidence for that jump is still developing[7][15].
