Lauren Smith brings veteran backcourt scoring to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi
Lauren Smith is a proven guard who has shown she can carry offense: in a previous season at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, she led the Islanders with 12.6 points per game, and more recently she was recognized as SSAC Offensive Player of the Week in December 2025 at Southern–Shreveport. She looks like the kind of guard who can provide shot creation, steady scoring, and competitive edge in the backcourt—useful if you need a perimeter player who can produce without needing the ball every possession.
