Freshman post with efficient bench pop for St. John’s
Evan Weichert, a 6-foot-5 freshman post from New Prague, has flashed as a low-usage, efficient energy big for St. John’s (MN) in the 2025-26 season, scoring in bursts off the bench and giving the Johnnies a physical inside presence. In a late-season note, he scored 9 points in 17 minutes against Trinity, including three made threes, and earlier added 10 points and 5 rebounds vs. Whitworth—proof he can stretch the floor a bit while competing on the glass. The fit looks best for a team that wants hustle, toughness, and developmental upside inside.
