UIW safety Jacob Harper brings tackle-heavy, playmaking edge
In the 2024 season, Jacob Harper was a steady UIW defensive back who started eight games, finished second on the team with 59 tackles, and added four pass breakups, two tackles for loss, two quarterback hurries, and a forced fumble—good signs of a versatile, physical safety who shows up around the ball[1]. His value goes beyond the box score: three double-digit tackle games suggest high intensity and reliable run support, making him the kind of dependable, downhill defender that can fit well in a aggressive secondary[1].
