Cole Yeager brings strike-throwing upside and rotation depth to LIU
Cole Yeager enters the 2026 Long Island University roster as a right-handed pitcher with a useful low-walk profile and early college success: in 2024, he logged 23.0 innings with a 2.74 ERA and 25 strikeouts, a strong indicator of pitchability and bat-missing ability for a developing arm[9]. He’s listed on LIU’s 2026 roster as a redshirt sophomore pitcher, suggesting the staff sees real value in his long-term development and can afford patience with him[8]. If your team wants a competitive, fill-it-up strike thrower with room to grow rather than a flashy max-velo gamble, Yeager is the kind of arm coaches tend to trust.
