Hampton Pirates DB with Elite HS Tackling Pedigree
Sam Pope, a promising defensive back for the Hampton Pirates, stands out with his high school ball-hawking instincts, averaging 5.1 tackles per game and snagging 1 INT plus 2 fumble recoveries in the 2010-11 season at Ridgeland HS—ranking top-95 in Division 5A. At 6'0", 185lbs with a blistering 4.4 40-yard dash, 42" vertical, and 22 reps at 185lb bench, his athleticism screams big-play potential; his relentless intensity and versatility from safety to RB make him a lockdown corner fit for teams needing speed and physicality in the secondary.
