veteran Gardner-Webb corner with proven ball skills
Cedric McGowan is a redshirt senior cornerback for Gardner-Webb, and the selling point is clear: he brings experience, speed, and playmaking ability to the secondary. Gardner-Webb’s roster bio describes him as one of the team’s faster corners and notes a 4.48-second 40-yard dash, plus he earned All-Conference recognition in the Big South, which points to a player who can handle pressure. He’s the kind of defensive back who fits a team that values instincts, toughness, and steady coverage rather than just raw measurables.
