veteran ballhawk who set the tone for Cincinnati’s defense
Doug Monaghan was an impact safety for Cincinnati, known for range, instincts, and playmaking after already earning Freshman All-American honors and leading the Bearcats with 101 tackles as a freshman; he also posted 70 tackles and two interceptions in a season after injury, then opened the next year with three interceptions in three games, showing he could rebound and change games from the back end.[1] He fits a team that values a high-motor, vocal, turnover-creating defensive back with proven toughness and production in big moments.[1]
