Cal's Towering 7'3" Chinese Center (2008-2010)
Zhang Zhaoxu, aka Max Zhang, brought rare 7'3" height to Cal's Golden Bears as a freshman and sophomore (2008-2010), appearing in 42 games off the bench with limited stats but showcasing elite shot-blocking potential that later shone in China's CBA (2x Best Defender, blocks leader in 2014 & 2018). His physical differentiator—massive wingspan and rim protection—made him a unique big man project, though raw offensively; ideal for teams needing defensive anchors with international upside, minus injury concerns. A fun, resilient personality via his 'Shark Knight' YouTube fame adds team locker room energy.
